Rudiger Schultka

Rüdiger Schultka (born July 10, 1939 in Neukuhren , Samland ) is a German anatomist .

Life

Schultka studied medicine at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg until 1963 . In the final year he received his doctorate (Dr. med.) With the thesis on morphology and topochemistry of the ciliated cells of the human uterine tuba during their secretion cycle . From 1966 he worked as an assistant at the Institute for Anatomy at Halle University, in 1969 he became a specialist in anatomy and in 1974 he was qualified to teach . He completed the PhD B process with the dissertation on morphology and aging of the uterine tuba and studies on the biomorphosis of the human fallopian tube mucosa in 1981 (Dr. sc. Med.). From 1985 to 1987 Schultka was a lecturer at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . In 1987 he was appointed full professor of anatomy at the University of Halle and headed the Institute of Anatomy until 1992. Bernd Fischer became his successor as director . Schultka was then head of the macroscopic-anatomical department and the prosecution of the institute. In 2004 he retired. Since 1993 he has been the director of the Meckel collection .

Act

Rüdiger Schultka published numerous studies on the mucous membrane of the fallopian tube (tuba uterina) . In addition, he researches the history of anatomy in Halle , the Meckel collection and the Meckel medical family . Since 2007 he has been chairman of the Association for the Promotion of the Meckel Collections at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg .
