Rüdiger Schulz

Rüdiger Schulz (born July 12, 1946 in Schwanewede near Bremen ) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

Life

In addition to his parliamentary work, Schulz is a member of the Ver.di trade union , the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO). He is married and has three children.

Schulz has been a member of the SPD since 1970. He was a district member from 1974 to 1982 and from 1991 to 1993. He is also the managing director of the SPD Harburg . In September 2006, after internal party differences between party leader Mathias Petersen and state manager Ties Rabe , Schulz took over the provisional state management.

He has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament since October 6, 1993 . There he sits for his parliamentary group in the family, children and youth committee and in the urban development committee. He is also a member of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (PUA) closed accommodation at Feuerbergstrasse.
