Răzvan Martin (born December 22, 1991 in Cluj-Napoca ) is a Romanian weightlifter .

Career

Martin took part in the 2008 Olympic Games , where he was nineteenth in the 69 kg class. In 2009 he became Junior European Champion and 2010 Junior World Champion. At the European Championships in 2011 he won the silver medal. Then he switched to the class up to 77 kg and reached sixth place at the 2011 World Championships . In 2012 he finished second at the European Championships . After the Albanian Erkand Qerimaj was disqualified from doping , he was awarded the gold medal. He also took part in his second Olympic Games that year . He returned to the 69kg class and won the bronze medal. At the 2013 European Championships he was first in the push and third in the duel in the class up to 77 kg. However, his doping test was positive for stanozolol and he was banned for two years.
