Rūta Gajauskaitė (politician)

Rūta Gajauskaitė (born January 24, 1946 in Kaunas , † January 30, 2015 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian lawyer, criminologist and politician .

Life

After graduating from high school, Gajauskaitė graduated from Vilnius University with a law degree . From 1968 to 1976 she worked as a lawyer, from 1976 as a research assistant at the Research Institute in Vilnius (in the Lithuanian Center for Judicial Expertise ). After that, she graduated from the Postgraduate Institute in Moscow . 1980 doctorate it in criminology "of the fight against criminal violations of the Criminological problems relating to environmental laws that led to air and water pollution" (lit. Kovos su nusikalstamais gamtos apsaugos įstatymų pažeidimais, sąlygojusiais oro ir vandens užterštumą, kriminologinės problemos ). From 1982 she taught as a lecturer and head of department at the Institute for Continuing Education of People's Specialists in Vilnius . From 1990 to 1992 she was a member of the Seimas .
