The RES Group is a family run shipping company. It consists of the company parts Reederei Erwin Strahlmann GmbH & Co. KG in Brunsbüttel , Reederei Strahlmann Szczecin in Stettin and RES Chartering GmbH in Hamburg .
history
The company was founded in 1988 by Erwin Strahlmann as a coastal shipping company in Marne and initially represented the interests of various captain shipowners. In the following decades own ships were taken over and the managed fleet was further expanded. The shipping company's headquarters were relocated to a new building on the banks of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel in March 2011 . Today over 100 people are employed on land and around 600 seafarers.
fleet
The shipping company's fleet comprises around fifty coasters with a load capacity range of 2000 to 8000 tons, which are mainly used in coastal shipping in the North and Baltic Seas. According to the company, over 2000 departures are made each year and over four million tons of cargo are transported.
