Roger Jon Ellory (born June 20, 1965 in Birmingham ) is a British thriller writer.

Life

RJ Ellory grew up as an orphan since 1972 and spent his childhood and youth in various institutions and schools. He dropped out of graphic design studies after a year and began writing novels at the age of 22, more than 20 of which were rejected on the grounds that American novels by an English writer did not sell. In 2003 his first novel, Candlemoth , was finally published , followed annually by another, many of which were translated into different languages.

Ellory hit the headlines in September 2012 for admitting positive reviews of his own novels and negative reviews of books by other living authors under pseudonyms, e.g. B. Nicodemus Jones, on the Amazon website.

RJ Ellory lives in Birmingham.
