RFEM is a 3D - FEM software for static calculation and dimensioning of steel - reinforced concrete - wood - glass - and membrane structures, for the plant and machinery , and for dynamic analyzes .

RFEM is used by over 7,800 companies, 45,000 users and many universities in 95 countries. As part of the research project "Thermal Imaging and Structural Analysis of Sandstone Monuments in Angkor ", RFEM was used to create numerical models and for structural analysis.

BIM integration

RFEM has various interfaces for data exchange as part of the BIM process. All relevant structural data are digitally recorded in a three-dimensional model that goes through all planning processes. For example, no different models are used in the CAD and structural analysis programs, but one and the same model is exchanged directly.

In addition to direct interfaces to Autodesk AutoCAD , Autodesk Revit Structure , Autodesk Structural Detailing, Bentley Systems Applications (ISM) and Tekla Structures , RFEM has interfaces for IFC and CIS / 2.

Material and cross-section libraries

The RFEM material library includes different types of concrete , metal , wood , glass , foils , gases and floors .

The RFEM cross-section library includes rolled, composite, thin-walled and solid cross-sections for concrete , wood and steel .
