Rania ( 라니아 , stylized RaNia or RANIA ) is a South Korean girl group that was founded in 2011. The name Rania should mean something like "Regeneration Idol of Asia". Her first song, "Dr Feel Good," was produced by Teddy Riley .
history
Rania appeared for the first time with her song "Dr Feel Good" 16 April 2011 on the show Music Bank of KBS on. The choreography met with a lot of criticism in South Korea, in which the singers showed a lot of skin. Therefore, the dance steps have been changed for the live performances. From June, the group appeared under the title "Masquerade" in the South Korean music shows. Like the previous single, this song was produced by Teddy Riley. Shortly after appearing with "Masquerade" it was announced that Riley and the Rania label DR Music had ended their collaboration.
On November 17, 2011, the group returned with the mini-album Time to Rock Da Show . This album was produced by Brave Brothers .
The group received a So-Loved Award 2011 for the best female newcomers from Germany .
In 2013 they released their debut album "Goodbye's the New Hello" and released the single "Just Go" from it. The album reached number 9 on the Korean charts .
In November 2015, the American singer Alexandra ("Alex") joined the group as the seventh member of the group.
