Rabak ( Arabic ربك Rabak ) is the capital of the Sudanese state an-Nil al-abyad .
location
The city is located on the eastern bank of the White Nile in the Jazira plain , around 260 km south of Khartoum . Opposite the city, on the other side of the river, is the city of Kusti .

history
With the territorial reform of 1994 Rabak became the capital of the state of an-Nil al-abyad .
economy
In the city there is a cement factory of the state-owned Nile Cement Company , the production of which was 50,200 tons in 2001 and 41,000 tons in 2002. It was built in 1956 to enable the construction of the Sannar Dam , which is around 125 km away. The nearby lime deposits are exploited for the factory .
