Rabban al-Qas
Rabban al-Qas (born July 1, 1949 ) is an Iraqi clergyman and Chaldean Catholic bishop of Amadiyah .
In 1973 he was ordained a priest. Since 2002 he has been Bishop of Amediye (in the northern part of Iraq) for the Chaldean Catholic Church . On February 1, 2002, Raphael I. Bidawid , the Patriarch of Babylon of the Chaldean Catholic Church, was ordained Bishop of Amadiyah . Co- consecrators were the Chaldean Archbishop of Kirkuk , André Sana , and the Chaldean Bishop of Alquosh , Abdul-Ahad Sana . From 2007 to 2010 he was also the administrator of the Erbil Archepark . Since 2013 he has been bishop of the united diocese of Zaku and Amadiyah . In June 2020, the Chaldean Patriarch Louis Raphaël I Cardinal Sako repealed the union of the dioceses and restored the Diocese of Amadiyah as an independent diocese with the previous Bishop Rabban al-Qas.
