The village of Raben is located in the Planetal approx. 1 km from the swamp spring of the Plane river , in the middle of the Hoher Fläming Nature Park and is a district of the Rabenstein / Fläming community with around 150 inhabitants.
history
On July 1, 2002, Raben formed the new municipality of Rabenstein / Fläming with five other municipalities.

The current mayor is Marco Neue after Mike Hesse resigned in 2012.

Attractions
The castle Rabenstein , the medieval village church Raben and the nature park center "Alte Brennerei" of the nature park Hoher Fläming are worth seeing . There are a number of signposted hiking trails around the village, including a circular path (nature trail) from the castle to the village and back.
