Rabland ( Italian Rablà ) is a fraction of the parish of Partschins in Vinschgau in South Tyrol . The village is located near the bottom of the Etsch Valley orographically to the left of the Etsch .

Rabland can look back on a long history. As a street settlement on the former Via Claudia Augusta and today's Vinschgauer Straße , Rabland was particularly important in terms of traffic. In addition to farms, including the Mair zu Rabland , old inns in particular shape the character of the village. The place name was first documented as Rabelant in 1312 , although originally only one farm, the Mairhof Redermacher , was referred to. The original name of the settlement, later abandoned and replaced by Rabland, was Cutraun , Guntraun or Catraun (as in 1580). Ecclesiastically, the site has been part of the Parish of Parcines since ancient times, as the documented mention of a Caspar Rablander sat zů Cotrawn in the Parthins parish in 1457 shows.

Attractions include in the late gothic built style St. James Church just off the main road and the new parish church (Christ Church called) just beyond that by architect 1961-1963 Erich Pattis built and artist Friedrich Gurschler was equipped. There is also a small railway museum ("Eisenbahnwelt") in town.
