Radii Caisin (born February 27, 2001 ) is a German basketball player . He is in the squad of the Bundesliga club Crailsheim Merlins .
career
Caisin first played in the junior division of TK Hannover and TSV Neustadt am Rübenberge. In summer 2016 he switched to SC Rasta Vechta . After appearances in the youth as well as in the second men's team in the regional league, he was also included in Vechta's squad for the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in the 2017/18 season . He booked four short appearances in the game year that ended in May 2018 with winning the championship title and promotion to the Bundesliga. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he continued to play in Vechta’s second team (Regionalliga) and in the youth team (game community between Vechta and Quakenbrück in the youth basketball league ) before joining the Artland Dragons (2nd Bundesliga ProA ) moved to Quakenbrück. For the Artländer he played 15 games by the end of the 2018/19 game year and averaged 1.3 points per encounter. In June 2019, the winger, known as a specialist in defense tasks, was presented as a new addition to Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg . In June 2020 he became German runner-up with Ludwigsburg, scoring 1.3 points per game in the Bundesliga over the course of the season.
At the end of July 2020, Bundesliga club Crailsheim announced Merlins Caisin's commitment.
National team
Caisin was a member of the German U15 national team in 2016, and in the summer of 2017 he took part in the European Championship in Montenegro with the U16 team. In December 2018 he was appointed to the squad of the U18 national team.
