Radio RaBe ( Ra dio Be rn) is a radio station from the city of Bern in Switzerland .
Radio Bern RaBe is a community radio (see also free radio ) that is defined by the AMARC standard. The station is registered as an association and is financed by membership fees from around 1000 members, donations, a share of the federal radio fees, sponsoring and media partnerships. The station works without advertising and is not profit-oriented. It is broadcast in 20 languages.
As “Berner Kulturradio”, Radio Bern RaBe broadcasts messages from the left spectrum and defines itself as social and multicultural .
The music mainly includes domestic music from the areas of reggae , rock , world music and classical music , as well as music from almost all European countries.
RaBe is a member of the Union of Non-Commercial Local Radios (UNIKOM) .
