Radio mauma.fm was a private radio broadcaster based in Berlin and Nuremberg . From May 1, 2013, the station could be received on the Internet, by telephone and by radio recyclers on stationary Internet radios. From April 15, 2015, the station could also be received for a short time via Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB +) in Berlin and Brandenburg and from May 2015 via DAB + in Hamburg and the surrounding area, but the broadcasting was already a few months later, in October 2015, set. In addition, the radio station, which is no longer broadcast, operated a digital information portal with daily news. The station, at that time still under the name Radio mauma.fm, was approved on July 24, 2014 by the Bavarian State Center for New Media as a nationwide provider until October 31, 2022. However, this approval was revoked in April 2016 as part of the insolvency proceedings applied for in October 2015.

history

Radio mauma.fm Germany started on May 1, 2013 with its 24-hour program on the Internet. Gradually, the station and the program developed. The station broadcast live from the international radio exhibition in Berlin, the CeBIT in Hanover and the Nuremberg Toy Fair as well as the German Radio Prize 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 live from Hamburg. At the same time, the station broadcast the home games of the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the 2013/14 season. Radio mauma.fm Germany also reported on the international matches of the German national ice hockey team against Switzerland in Mannheim on May 2, 2014 and Germany against the USA on May 6, 2014 in Nuremberg. In maumafm.deaddition to the program, an information portal with news, backgrounds and other reports was offered from April 2014 .

The station played a mix of rock to pop, hits to ballads, reggae to hard rock and much more for a broad target audience between the ages of 10 and 59 and offered accompanying offers tailored to this target group, such as service and audience activities.

The station offered up-and-coming artists a free platform to promote and publish new music in all genres.

Joint program

Radio mauma.fm organized its program together with “hurricane fm” as a new joint transmitter for ( KopfKino.fm and Antenne Gold ). The new station hurricane fm combined the program elements of audio books and radio plays with newsroom as a news station, this in the program of radio mauma.fm. The editorial and production rooms were used jointly.

Reception possibilities

The station was offered on the internet as a live stream on the station homepage and on other platforms and was available as a mobile app on mobile devices. Furthermore, a feed was offered via the Phonecast platform Phonecaster.

Terrestrially, the station, then still called mauma.fm, could be received via DAB + in Hamburg (Kanal 11C from May 2015) and Berlin (Kanal 7B), but was discontinued in October 2015. Until then, broadcasting via satellite and various cable networks was planned for the long term. In the meantime, the station wants to limit itself to distribution on the Internet under a new name.
