Radovan Mitrović (born February 25, 1992 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .
Club career
Mitrović began his career in the youth of 1. Simmeringer SC , where he matured into a playmaker talent. At the age of 15 he was able to choose between offers from SK Rapid Vienna , SK Sturm Graz and the Dutch club sc Heerenveen , whereupon he decided on the international transfer.
In Heerenveen he was then retrained from the playmaker to the flank player, where he was able to occupy both sides due to his two-leggedness. As a playmaker, he had previously revealed too great deficits in defensive behavior, which made retraining necessary.
After two years in the youth academy, he was promoted to Jong Heerenveen / Emmen in 2010 , before being awarded to the Eerste Divisie at the FC Emmen cooperative association in spring 2011 .
On the 18th matchday of the season, he then celebrated his professional debut during the 0: 4 home defeat against SC Cambuur-Leeuwarden . He was used six times for Emmen without scoring a goal.
National team
In June 2011 he was nominated by trainer Andreas Heraf in the big squad in preparation for the U-20 World Cup 2011 in Colombia. In the preliminary world championship squad, however, he was not considered in a row. As part of the preparation for the U-20 World Cup in 2011, he then came to an unofficial assignment for the U-20 in the test match against SV Grödig . After Marco Djuricin's injury-related loss shortly before the start of the final round, he was nominated for the World Cup squad.
So far Mitrović has not yet played in an official game for Austria on an international level.
