RADWIN is an Israeli telecommunications company . It develops and produces hardware for wireless point-to-point and point-to-multipoint broadband transmission . Its solutions serve telecommunications providers, city administrations, remote communities, ISPs , and private networks. RADWIN also offers solutions for transport applications such as subways , buses, ferries and airports, as well as vehicles such as patrol cars, manned and unmanned heavy machinery in mines and ports.

Solutions provided by RADWIN are in use in over 150 countries, with a total of more than 100,000 units. Headquartered in Tel Aviv , Israel , the company has offices in Brazil , El Salvador , People's Republic of China , Colombia , Poland , India , Mexico , Peru , the Philippines , Singapore , South Africa , Russia , Spain , Thailand , the United Kingdom and the United States .

The company was founded in 1997 by Sharon Sher. During his conscription he worked in an elite unit with telecommunications systems and mobile communications. After earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a master's degree in electronics from Tel Aviv University , he founded Radwin in 1997.

By 2005, the company had sold its first 10,000 radios and its products were selected for one of the largest Asian WiFi backhaul projects with over 1,000 links. Radwin has been selected by Indian Railways to provide train radio connectivity. In the same year the company opened its Indian branch. After the 2004 tsunami , RADWIN donated 1,000 wireless broadband transmission devices to restore Thailand's communications network.

In 2013, Radwin's FiberinMotion solution was selected and deployed for the Moscow Metro , delivering wireless train-to-route broadband communication with on-board high-speed internet connection (90 Mbit / sec) for passengers and operations management.
