Rafael Higinio Orozco y Orozco (* in Arandas, Jalisco ; † December 22, 1970 in León , Guanajuato ) was a Mexican football player and coach . He was also the first president in the history of Club Deportivo Guadalajara , which he headed from 1908 to 1911.

Looking for work, Rafael Orozco and his brother Gregorio left their rural birthplace of Arandas in 1906 and immigrated to Guadalajara . There Rafael found a job in the clothing company Fábricas de Francia , while Gregorio founded a branch of the food chain Almacenes Ciudad de México based in the capital .

Rafael probably came to the presidency of the club, which at that time was still known as Guadalajara Football Club, because his brother Gregorio - who, together with Edgar Everaert , who immigrated from Belgium and the French-born Calixto Gas, is also considered the actual founding trio of CD Guadalajara - also arrived in 1908 was involved in founding the Liga Amateur de Jalisco and became its first chairman. Obviously, it should be avoided that the chairman of the league was also chairman of a club participating in the league.

The Orozco brothers belonged to the root formation of the club founded as Club Unión in 1906 and renamed Guadalajara FC in 1908. Rafael Higinio Orozco played exclusively for this club, was a team captain for a long time and, after his active career, still worked as a coach at Guadalajara FC.
