Raghunath Seth

Raghunath Seth ( Hindi रघुनाथ सेठ ; * 1931 in Gwalior ; † February 15, 2014 in Mumbai ) was an Indian Bansuri player and composer .

Career

Raghunath Seth studied music with SN Ratanjankar and was then a student of the Bansuri master Pannalal Ghosh in Bombay . In 1954 he went to Lucknow , where he worked for fifteen years as a composer and producer for All India Radio . He later worked in Bombay as a film composer and wrote the music for documentaries, television series and feature films.

In addition, he went on international concert tours as a flautist and recorded several albums, including with fusion musician Chris Hinze .

In 1994 he received a Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
