The Raiffeisenbank eG, Bargteheide was a cooperative bank in Bargteheide . Its business area included the regions of Bargteheide, Bargfeld-Stegen and Steinburg in the Stormarn district .

The bank was owned by around 3,500 members of the cooperative.
In addition to the main office and the real estate center in Bargteheide, the Raiffeisenbank had two further offices in Bargfeld-Stegen and Mollhagen as well as an external ATM.
history
In 1911, the Jersbek savings and loan bank was founded. In 1965 it merged with the cooperative bank of the same name from Delingsdorf to form the Bargteheide savings and loan association. In 1974, Raiffeisenbank Bargteheide was renamed as a registered cooperative . After further mergers with the rural cooperative banks in Bargfeld-Stegen (1983) and in Mollhagen (1989), the branches there have been retained. In both municipalities, they are the only bank with full service still on site. The real estate center in Bargteheide was opened in 2012.
In autumn 2018, the board members of Raiffeisenbank eG, Bargteheide and Volksbank eG, VBS , based in Bad Oldesloe, entered into talks about a merger. The management board and the supervisory board signed the draft merger agreement on March 8, 2019. On June 18, 2019, the merger of the two banks with retroactive effect from January 1, 2019, was resolved unanimously by the general assembly of Raiffeisenbank Bargteheide eG and unanimously at the meeting of representatives of Volksbank eG, VBS on June 19, 2019. The technical merger of both houses is planned for October 12, 2019.
