history

Raiffeisenbank Kalbe-Bismark eG was founded by ten farmers on October 29, 1927 as Savings and Loan Fund Calbe (Milde) eGmbH under the motto "Nobody for himself, everyone for everyone". It is the oldest bank in the city of Kalbe (Milde).

In 1946, under the name “Raiffeisenkasse Calbe (Milde) eGmbH”, the bank already had 205 members. On October 10, 1946, the Raiffeisenkasse Calbe (Milde) eGmbH merged as the acquiring cooperative with the seed cleaning cooperative Calbe (Milde) and the surrounding area. In 1949 it was decided to merge the Raiffeisenkasse with the Altmärkische Kornhäuser. This resulted in the village cooperative Calbe / Milde und Umgebung eGmbH. These included the places Vahrholz, Altmersleben, Butterhorst and Kalbe. On February 22, 1951, the VdgB merged with the Calbe / Milde village cooperative to form the VdgB (BHG) Kalbe / Milde. In 1990 the cooperative was re-established under the name Raiffeisenbank und Handelsgenossenschaft eG Kalbe (Milde). In the same year the merchandise business was outsourced and the bank continued under the name Raiffeisenbank Kalbe eG. On January 1, 1991, the merger with Raiffeisenbank Bismark eG took place to form today's Raiffeisenbank Kalbe-Bismark eG.

Since the establishment of the cooperative in 1927, numerous mergers with other small cooperatives in the region have taken place. They are not all listed here, but can be looked up in the chronicle of Raiffeisenbank Kalbe-Bismark eG.
