Raimund Tomczak

Raimund Tomczak (born August 10, 1947 in Königs Wusterhausen , Teltow district ) is a German politician and was a member of the FDP in the Brandenburg state parliament from 2009 to 2014 .

Raimund Tomczak trained as a salesman from 1964 to 1966. Between 1966 and 1975 he was a member of the border troops of the GDR . Tomczak then worked as a commercial division manager from 1975 to 1976. Since 1976 he has been self-employed in the transport and disposal industry . From 1977 to 1982 he studied domestic trade economics at the college for domestic trade with a degree in economics .

Raimund Tomczak was initially a member of the SED and, since 1978, of the LDPD block party . In 1990 he became a member of the FDP. Until March 2016 he was chairman of the FDP Dahme-Spreewald. He is state chairman of the Association of Liberal Local Politicians Brandenburg. From 2007 to 2011 he was deputy state chairman of the FDP Brandenburg.

In terms of local politics, he has been a member of the Zernsdorf community council since 1990, a member of the Königs Wusterhausen city council since 2003 and a member of the Dahme-Spreewald district council since 2003 . In 2019, the members of the FDP district association voted against his renewed list for the district council election. As a result, Tomczak founded an independent group of voters , for which he is a candidate for the district election. With his candidacy against the FDP, his membership automatically expired in accordance with the statutes.

In the state elections in 2009 Tomczak was elected to the state parliament. There he was a member of the Economic Committee and the Petitions Committee, as well as deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. After the state elections in Brandenburg in 2014 , he left the state parliament.
