Rainer Fabian

Rainer Fabian (* 1935 in Erfurt ; † March 31, 2004 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a German journalist and author .

Life

Fabian studied film dramaturgy and film directing at DEFA in Babelsberg and Potsdam and German studies in Stuttgart.

During his career, Fabian managed, among other things, the literary supplement of the world and was a member of the Stern editorial team. From 1986 he lived in the bohemian Santa Teresa district in Rio de Janeiro and worked from there as a Latin American correspondent. He died as a result of an operation.
