Rainer Lindner

Rainer Lutz Thomas Lindner (* 1966 ) is a German manager. He is CEO of the Central & Eastern Europe / Middle East & Africa sub-region of the Schaeffler Group , and Professor at the University of Konstanz.

Career

After completing his studies ( MA 1993 and doctorate in 1997 at the University of Tübingen ), he completed his habilitation at the University of Konstanz in 2005 . He had research stays a. at universities in Cambridge , Massachusetts ( Harvard University ), Minsk, Kiev and Moscow. From 1994 to 1998 he was a research assistant and advisor to the Federal Government and the Bundestag at the German Institute for International Politics and Security of the Science and Politics Foundation . From 1998 to 2005 he was a research assistant at the University of Konstanz. Since January 2008 he has been an adjunct professor at the University of Konstanz. From 2005 to 2008 Lindner was a research assistant and advisor to the Federal Government and the Bundestag at the German Institute for International Politics and Security of the Science and Politics Foundation in Berlin. From 2008 to 2015 he worked as managing director of the Eastern Committee of German Business . Lindner has been CEO of the Central & Eastern Europe / Middle East & Africa sub-region of the Schaeffler Group since 2016.

Lindner also holds honorary positions as curator of the German-Russian Forum e. V., as chairman of the German-Ukrainian forum and chairman of the German-Belarusian society as well as founder and chairman of the " Minsk-Forum ". In addition, he is a board member of the German Society for Eastern European Studies (DGO) and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Berlin Institute for Population and Development as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Europe Institute of the University of Dresden and a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Association for Education and Exchange , Dortmund.

Rainer Lindner is married and has one son.

Award

Rainer Lindner was awarded the Order of the State Banner of the Republic of Montenegro 2nd Class in 2013 .
