Rainer Slodczyk (born August 22, 1950 ) is a former German soccer player . On October 18, 1970, the defender completed a game in the German national team of amateurs .

career

Viktoria Woltwiesche (2008: Lengede ), not far from Peine , led the young defensive player Rainer Slodczyk to join the amateur team of Eintracht Braunschweig in the summer of 1969 . Slodczyk immediately celebrated the championship with his new team in the Lower Saxony state league under coach Hans-Georg Vogel in 1969/70 . In the competition for the German Amateur Championship , he made it to the finals with the Eintracht amateurs. The final took place on July 11, 1970 in Siegen against defending champion SC Jülich 1910 . At the side of the later Bundesliga player Eberhard Haun , Slodczyk lost the final 3-0. With the association selection of Lower Saxony, he was eliminated in the amateur cup only in the semi-final second leg on August 19, 1970 in Augsburg against the representation of Bavaria. In the first half of the 1970/71 season, on October 18, 1970, the defensive talent made his debut under DFB coach Jupp Derwall in Ankara in the international match against Turkey in the amateur national team. He came on as a substitute for defender Nikolaus Semlitsch in the German 2-0 victory and formed the defensive of the DFB-Elf together with Reiner Hollmann , Friedhelm Haebermann and Egon Schmitt .

Under coach Otto Knefler he was used in the 1972/73 season in the DFB Cup in the two quarter-finals against 1. FC Köln in the Braunschweig licensed team. In both games, Cologne prevailed against Eintracht in April 1973; he was substituted on for the Dane Allan Michaelsen .

After moving to the state capital to Arminia Hannover , he completed nine league games under coach Gerd Bohnsack in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1976/77 season . After a long period of injury, he was declared a sports invalid in the summer of 1978.
