Rainer Steffen
Rainer Steffen (born May 29, 1943 in Kitzbühel ) is a German theater, film and television actor.
Life
Rainer Steffen was born in Kitzbühel, but moved back to Schlüchtern with his mother at an early age . At the age of sixteen, after the eleventh grade, he left school and went to Munich. There he completed an apprenticeship as a hairdresser with the aim of becoming a makeup artist . After completing his apprenticeship, Steffen tried to emigrate to France, but failed after a short time in Paris due to lack of money. This was followed by 18 months of military service and after reaching the age of majority, he studied acting from 1967 to 1969 with Peter Rieckmann and Hanna Burgwitz . Years at the theater followed, e.g. B. from 1972 to 1975 at the Residenztheater in Munich, as well as film and television productions. At the age of 47, Steffen began training as a translator, which he successfully completed four years later.
In the years from 1972 to 2001, and again since 2014, Rainer Steffen appeared in over 50 television series, television films and feature films. He played the role of Roland Freisler in the German television film The Wannsee Conference .
