Act

The alignment of research and teaching by Thome was based on the synergy of digital information processing with the organization of all subtasks in production, trading, service and governmental companies. In addition to offering lectures and seminars on relevant topics, companies were founded in cooperation with former academic employees and procedures developed that do not follow the usual trends in the discipline, but are based on independent, new methods. This made it possible to improve the quality of operational information systems (IS), particularly in the area of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Industry 4.0 auditing and the legally secure award of public contracts . The procedures, some of which are used worldwide (Live Kit, Reverse Business Engineer, Allocation Platform, Halo) have always posed new challenges for research and at the same time enabled students to gain special, realistic insights into their teaching. The aim is the synergy between all those involved in processes in business and administration with the earliest possible information provision.
