description

The Rajapalayam is another Indian greyhound-type dog , 65 to 75 cm tall, with short, smooth-haired fur of many colors. The most valued color is milk, with a pink nose and golden eyes, but unlike in the past, black and brown are also popular today. It is similar to the Mudhol Hound, but is a bit more powerful because it was used to hunt wild boar in the past. The typical preferred gait, a floating trot, which is reminiscent of a thoroughbred racehorse, is also typical of greyhounds.
