Rajon Perschotrawnewyj ( Ukrainian Першотравневий район / Perschotrawnewyj rayon , Russian Первомайский район / May Day rayon ., Dt "First-May-Rayon ') is a former Stadtrajon the city of Chernivtsi in Chernivtsi Oblast , in western Ukraine .
The Rajon comprised the south-eastern part of the urban area of Chernivtsi (separated from Stadtrajon Shevchenko by the M 19 highway ) and was founded on January 4, 1965. The name is derived from the Ukrainian word "Perschotrawen", which means May Day. On March 26, 2015, the city council dissolved the Rajons.
In the field of Rajons following suburbs and neighborhoods exist: eastern city center, Kalitschanka (Kalytschanka) ( Калічанка (Каличанка) ) and Horetscha ( Гореча ).
