The Sychiw Raion (Ukrainian Сихівський район / Sychiwskyj rajon ; Russian Сыховский район / Sychowski rajon ) is one of the six city rajons of the western Ukrainian city of Lviv .
The name is derived from the name of the district Sychiw , it is located southeast of the center of the city of Lviv and includes the districts / districts:
- Bodnariwka (Боднарівка; Polish Bodnarówka )
- Passiky (Пасіки; Polish Pasieki )
- Koselnyky (Козельники; Polish Kozielniki )
- Nowyj Lwiw (Новий Львів; Polish Nowy Lwów )
- Persenkiwka (Персенківка; Polish Persenkówka )
- Pyrohiwka (Пирогівка; Polish Pyrohiwka )
- Sychiw (Сихів; Polish Sichów )
The Rajon was only formed on February 10, 2000 after the split from the Rajon Halytsch , in order to take into account the rapid development due to many new buildings.
