The Rayon central (Ukrainian Центральний район / Tsentralny rayon ; Russian Центральный район / Zentralni rayon ) is one of eight administrative districts ( Rajone ) of the city Dnipro , the Oblastzentrums the oblast Dnipropetrowsk .

It is located in the central part of the city on the right Dneprufer , has 64,989 inhabitants ⁽²⁰⁰⁸⁾ and is the smallest, but most densely populated administrative district of Dnipro with an area of about 10.403 km².

From May 12, 1932 to November 26, 2015, the Rajon was called Kirov Rajon , the name derives from the important Soviet state and party official Sergei Mironovich Kirov . On 26 November 2015, he was in the context of de-communization in Rajon central renamed. The Rajon was founded on May 12, 1932.
