The Samara Raion (Ukrainian Самарський район / Samarski rajon ; Russian Самарский район / Samarski rajon ) is one of eight administrative districts ( Rajons ) of the city of Dnipro , the center of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Ukraine .

The Stadtrajon is located in the southwestern part of the city on the left Dneprufer and has 77,092 inhabitants ⁽²⁰⁰⁸⁾ and an area of about 66.83 km².

The name is derived from the Samara River , which flows into the Dnieper at this point . The Rajon was founded on April 6, 1977.
