career

The offensive midfielder made it into the professional squad of Rot-Weiss Essen as an A-youth and played for the club from 1980 to 1983 in the 2nd Bundesliga . He came to a total of 72 missions and scored seven goals. In 1983 he moved to the third-class Oberliga Nordrhein to the promoted VfL Rhede and a few years later to the league competitor 1. FC Bocholt . Bugla took over his first position as player-coach in 1990 at SC Südlohn . In the following years he also worked with clubs in Westmünsterland . So he led the SpVgg Vreden from the district league to the Association League Westphalia, coached the regional league team Westfalia Gemen for two years and VfL Rhede for seven years until 2008, which he led twice in the association league. From 2008 to 2010 Ralf Bugla was the coach of 1. FC Bocholt, with whom he was promoted to the Lower Rhine League in 2010 . In October 2010 he was released from the club due to the sporty downhill ride. Bugla then took over the coaching position again at the Westphalian regional league club Westfalia Gemen, with whom, however , he was relegated to the district league.

In the 2013/14 season Ralf Bugla took over the coaching position at the Westphalia league team SpVgg Vreden. For the 2016/17 season, Bugla became a coach at the district division SG Borken, which he led into the state league and left again after the 2017/18 season.
