Ralf Finke (* 1960 in Schwerte ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

After completing secondary school, Finke first worked as a banker . After graduating from high school, Ralf Finke studied journalism (Dipl.), History and sports at the University of Dortmund . At the same time he worked for the WDR in Dortmund.

Finke completed his traineeship at WDR in Cologne . a. in the editorial offices current hour , monitor and culture feature. Afterwards permanent freelance work at WDR in the editorial offices of ZAK, Culture and Regional. At that time Finke was writing for the Frankfurter Rundschau and the football magazine Hattrick .

In 1997 Finke moved to Focus TV in Munich . For this editorial team, war and crisis operations in the Balkans war and in Africa as well as reporting from America and Asia.

In 2000 he switched to Sat.1 in Berlin . After a short interlude as deputy head of the Sat.1 parliamentary editorial team, Ralf Finke was special correspondent for ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG from 2001 . He reported for the group's four channels ( ProSieben , Sat.1, kabel eins and N24 ) from numerous war and crisis areas: Ethiopia , Mozambique , Afghanistan , Pakistan , Thailand , the Middle East and the Caucasus. Ralf Finke was also responsible for the broadcasting group's reporting on major events such as B. on the death of John Paul II and the election of Benedict XVI. or the presidential election in Russia.

In 2010 Finke moved to Probono Fernsehproduktion Cologne / Berlin, where he was the editor-in-chief of a weekly political talk. Ralf Finke has been responsible for press and public relations work at the youth, culture and education center Volkshochschule / mon ami in Weimar since April 2019.
