Ralf Heym

Ralf Heym (born November 19, 1958 ) is a former German soccer player from Bayer 05 Uerdingen .

Life

The young striker from the Uerdingen youth got the chance to make his first professional appearance in the second division season 1977/78 under coach Siegfried Melzig . Ralf Heym made his debut on matchday 13 in a 3-2 win against Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid when he came on for Werner Greth . With the team around Friedhelm Funkel and the Swedish national player Jan Mattsson , he finished seventh this season and made five appearances. Under new coach Horst Buhtz Heym was initially no longer considered in the professional squad from 1978. Only after promotion to the Bundesliga did he return to work. From 1979 to 1981 he scored one goal in 24 games. In 1981 Ralf Heym moved to 1. FC Bocholt , who had been relegated from the 2nd division , to the Oberliga Nordrhein . 1982 followed the change to the league competitor and city rival Olympia Bocholt . A year later Heym also hiked from there and joined 1. FC Viersen . In the 1985/86 season he stormed alongside Lothar Steinhauer for the upper division Wuppertaler SV .

Ralf Heym reached the round of 16 in the DFB Cup in 1979/80 and 1980/81 with Bayer 05 Uerdingen and 1981/82 with 1. FC Bocholt. With the Wuppertaler SV he retired in 1985 in the first round. He scored two goals in a total of nine DFB Cup appearances.
