Ralf Jaros

Ralf Jaros (born December 13, 1965 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German athlete . With a height of 1.93 m, his competition weight was 85 kg.

On June 30, 1991, Ralf Jaros set a German triple jump record with 17.66 m at the European Cup , which the 1999 world champion, Charles Friedek , could not break either.

Ralf Jaros made his international debut at the Olympic Games in 1984 at the age of 18 , but was 17th in qualification. In the 1985 indoor season he was fourth at the European Championships with 16.78 m and sixth at the World Indoor Games with 16.61 m.

Jaros was absent for a few years due to injury, but was able to catch up with the world's best in ninth place in the 1991 World Championships . At the 1992 Olympic Games , he narrowly failed in qualification as 13th. He finished the 1993 World Championships in fourth place with 17.34 m.

Ralf Jaros was German outdoor champion in 1984, 1985 and from 1990 to 1993 and German indoor champion in 1984, 1985 and 1994.
