Ralf Konersmann

Ralf Konersmann (born February 18, 1955 in Düsseldorf ) is a German philosopher. He is currently professor at the Philosophical Department at Kiel University .

Life

He was promoted to Dr. phil. doctorate, was a research assistant and research assistant at the Fernuniversität in Hagen from 1987 to 1993 , completed his habilitation in 1993 and was professor of cultural theory and cultural philosophy at the University of Leipzig from 1993 to 1996 . Since 1996 he has held the chair for philosophy and its didactics at the University of Kiel and since 2000 director of the philosophy seminar.

In October 2005 he was appointed a full member of the Academy of Sciences in Hamburg .

Ralf Konersmann is the author of numerous essays, essays, articles and features and co-editor of the Historical Dictionary of Philosophy and - since 2007 - of the Zeitschrift für Kulturphilosophie .

His main research interests are in the fields of conceptual history and historical semantics, metaphorology , cultural philosophy , history and criticism of vision, as well as philosophy and its didactics.

Konersmann was awarded the Tractatus Prize in 2017 for his dictionary of unrest .
