The Tractatus Prize for Philosophical Essay Writing is a science prize that has been awarded annually by the Philosophicum Lech since 2009 .

The Tractatus Prize for philosophical essay writing is based on a suggestion by the writer Michael Köhlmeier . The award is endowed with 25,000 euros, which is provided by private sponsors.
