Ralf Mackenbach (born October 4, 1995 in Best ) is a Dutch singer , dancer and musical performer . He won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Kiev with the self-written song Click Clack .

biography

Mackenbach has been attending the Dansacademie Lucia Marthas in Amsterdam since 2009 . He plays little Tarzan in the musical Tarzan in the Netherlands and Jakopje in the Dutch version of the musical Beauty and the Beast . He also recorded the voice of Zack in the Dutch version of the sitcom Hotel Zack & Cody (seasons 1, 2 and 3).

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009

On October 3, 2009, 13-year-old Mackenbach won the AVRO Junior Song Festival 2009 with the self-written song Click Clack . Mackenbach received twelve points from the children's jury, the specialist jury and the audience and thus came first. The theme of the song is the tap dance , which was also performed while singing. The expert jury included Jeroen van der Boom , Lange Frans and Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen . The presenter of the show was Sipke Jan Bousema .

He qualified for the final of the seventh Junior Eurovision Song Contest on November 21 in Kiev ( Ukraine ). In the final he won with 121 points.

After his victory, Mackenbach was the focus of the reality series Ralf for real , also produced by AVRO. In 2010 Ralf Mackenbach released his first album entitled Ralf . It also includes his first English-language single, Secret Girl . In the charts of the Nederlandse Top 40 , the album reached number 10. 2011 was followed by his second album Moving On , which was less successful with number 29 as the highest ranking (as of December 10, 2011).

He was also part of the Interval Act at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 , which took place in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam .
