Ralf Roessler

Ralf Uwe Rößler (born March 11, 1953 in Mannheim , Germany ) is a German chemist , dentist and university professor specializing in teaching and research in periodontics and implantology . Rößler is the founder and dean of the University for Digital Technologies in Medicine & Dentistry, DTMD , in Luxembourg.

Career

Rößler studied chemistry (Dipl.) In Heidelberg as well as dentistry at the Medical University in Hanover and at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . He then worked as a research assistant and later a senior physician in the periodontology department at the Center for Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine at the University of Gießen and scientific director of the ZMF school of the Lower Saxony Dental Association. Rößler had his first teaching position at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Campus Benjamin Franklin, Polyclinic for Dentistry and Periodontology.

Today, Ralf Rößler treats and operates across Europe in various practices with a focus on plastic-aesthetic and regenerative periodontal surgery, implantology and prophylaxis .

Together with André Reuter , Ralf Rößler forms the board of directors of the DTMD University for Digital Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry, Luxembourg

  • Since 2017 professor for interdisciplinary periodontology and prevention at the DTMD University for Digital Technologies in Medicine and Dentistry, Schloss Wiltz, Luxembourg
  • Until 2018 professor for interdisciplinary periodontology and prevention at the practice university in Cologne and head of the advanced training institute "Praxisdienste" at the practice university
  • Since 2017 Professor at the Business Science Institute, Luxembourg
  • Lecturer in the master’s course in implantology at the Steinbeis University in Berlin as well as in curricular training courses for various state dental associations and specialist societies

research

Ralf Rößler's main research areas are the development of biomaterials and tissue engineering. He holds u. a. Patents for mixtures for use as bone substitute material in human medicine and for surface sealing. Rößler has numerous specialist publications and lectures nationally and internationally.
