Ralf Scheepers (born February 5, 1965 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is the singer of the German speed / power metal band Primal Fear .

One of his trademarks is the relatively high-pitched singing voice, similar to Judas Priests Rob Halford . Before that, Ralf Scheepers was a member of the bands Gamma Ray and Tyran 'Pace . He also had guest appearances with the bands Scanner , Therion , Ayreon , Metalmind and Shadow Gallery .

In January 2014 he founded the band Blackwelder with Bjorn Englen (bass, Dio Disciples ), Aquiles Priester (drums, hangar, Ex- Angra ) and Andrew Szucs (guitar, Seven Seraphim).

Private life

From 1982 to 1986 Ralf Scheepers was employed as an apprentice at Robert Bosch and worked there until 2008. He then worked as a project engineer for the automotive supplier Telemotive . He is also involved in the development of microphones and works as a singing teacher with his own company. In addition to his knowledge and skills in electrical and automotive engineering, in particular dealing with CAN, Most, K-Line and KWP2000, he is also internationally successful as a singer.
