Ralf Scherbaum (born March 19, 1973 in Würzburg ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Scherbaum was discovered by TSV Grombühl , where he played in the youth team with Frank Baumann (vice world champion, German champion and cup winner). At the same time he completed an apprenticeship as an electrician .

Then Scherbaum went to 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 and played there until 1994.

From 1994 Scherbaum played at TSV Vestenbergsgreuth in the newly founded Regionalliga Süd . In 1996 he moved to 1. FC Schweinfurt 05. In the 2004/05 season, Scherbaum moved back to Würzburger FV.

In 2009 Scherbaum becomes assistant trainer at Würzburger FV . For 2008 Scherbaum was voted the best goalkeeper in the Bayern League.

In the 2012/13 season, Scherbaum moved to TSV Kleinrinderfeld as an assistant coach . He has been working in the same position at TSV Lengfeld since 2015.
