The TSV Kleinrinderfeld is a sports club from the Lower Franconian town Kleinrinderfeld . Originally founded as a gymnastics club , it now has departments for football , badminton , tennis , table tennis , gymnastics and volleyball as well as a carnival club.

history

The club was founded at Pentecost 1923 as a workers gymnastics and sports club . It was linked to the workers gymnastics club founded ten years earlier, but its activities had fallen asleep again. Soon gymnastics and garden festivals were held, departments for athletics and football as well as a marching band were established. At the end of the village in the direction of Gerchsheim a gymnasium with equipment hall was built.

With the ban on workers' sports clubs by the National Socialists on March 29, 1933, club life came to a standstill, club assets and gymnastics equipment were confiscated. Four years later, on September 10, 1937, it was re-established. During the Second World War , 42 members of the club were killed and some athletes were taken prisoners of war. From 1946 the association was revived. In the same year a handball department was founded, followed two years later by a carnival group. The first large sports field was inaugurated in September 1948. In 1953 the table tennis department was added. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the club, a large gymnastics festival was held in 1963. In 1978 a club house was completed by the members after three years of construction. In 1980 the number of members exceeded the mark of 500. In 1988 the tennis department was founded and tennis courts were built. In the same year a department for karate was created , for which world champion Julian Chees was won as a trainer. In 2002 a tennis home was built.

Soccer

The soccer team made it to the A-Class for the first time in 1951 after a winning streak. Until the 1990s, the club played in the lower class leagues in the Würzburg district. After the first promotion to the Lower Franconian District League, promotion to the Lower Franconian District Upper Franconia followed in 1994. These two leagues remained the sporting home of TSV Kleinrinderfeld for almost 20 years. In the 2010/11 season, under coach Norbert Mahler, he was promoted to the Bayern Nord regional league for the first time . There the team established itself in the top field and rose to the Bayern League , in which he was only able to stay for a year and was relegated from bottom of the table in the following season.
