history

Until the church is planted

Evidence of settlement history for the area around Kleinrinderfeld goes back to the Neolithic Age . They continue in the Bronze Age and Iron Age up to the Celts . The place is mentioned for the first time in writing in a document from King Heinrich IV. Dated June 22, 1060, which speaks of the settlement "Rindervelt minorem" (= the small cattle field).

As part of the Hochstift Würzburg, which belonged to the Franconian Empire , Kleinrinderfeld was secularized in 1803 in favor of Bavaria, then left in the Peace of Pressburg in 1805 to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg, with which it finally fell to Bavaria in 1814. In 1818 the political municipality was established.

In the local elections on March 15, 2020, 1,259 of the 1,757 residents in the municipality of Kleinrinderfeld exercised their right to vote, bringing the turnout to 71.66%.

Alliance Waldsassengau

Since November 20, 2014 Kleinrinderfeld has been organized together with twelve other communities in the Alliance Waldsassengau . The association serves the intercommunal cooperation.

Economy and Infrastructure

Economy including agriculture and forestry

In 2017 there were 306 jobs subject to social security contributions in the municipality. Of the resident population, 926 people were in an employment relationship subject to compulsory insurance. This means that the number of out-commuters was 620 people greater than that of in-commuters. 26 residents were unemployed. In 2016 there were still six farms. 456 hectares of the community area was used for agriculture.
