Foundation of the coat of arms: The original church patroness and place-name giver St. Margaretha could already be seen in a village court seal from the 17th century. Only their attributes appear in today's coat of arms - dragon, cross and crown. The colors red and silver are reminiscent of the centuries-long membership of the place in the Würzburg monastery.
The coat of arms was designed by Fritz Kretschmer from Schweinfurt and approved on June 15, 1962. |
