history
Until the church is planted
The Lords of Grumbach held local authority in Burggrumbach until 1593 and in Unterpleichfeld until 1603. The Würzburg prince-bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn (1573 to 1617) gave Unterpleichfeld its own village and court order after the place had come to the Hochstiftes Würzburg (Bürgerspital) in 1604 , which in turn belonged to the Franconian Empire . After the battle of Würzburg (1796) the place was burned down by French revolutionary troops. The Hochstift and the associated place were secularized in 1803 in favor of Bavaria and then in the Peace of Pressburg (1805) Archduke Ferdinand III. left by Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg , with which it finally fell to Bavaria in 1814. In 1818 was awarded the Bavarian Gemeindeedikt the municipality established Unterpleichfeld.
