Rupprechtshausen is a church village and district of Unterpleichfeld on the suburb of the Unterpleichfeld district of Hilpertshausen in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg .

Geographical location

Rupprechtshausen is located in the northwest of the Unterpleichfeld municipality. In the north, Hilpertshausen can be found, on whose boundary Rupprechtshausen lies. The Unterpleichfeld district of Seemühle rises to the southeast , while the area of ​​the municipality of Estenfeld with the district of Mühlhausen lies in the south . The Rimpar district begins further to the west . The federal highway 7 runs in the immediate vicinity in the west of the village.

history

Rupprechtshausen was part of the Würzburg monastery as early as the 8th century . The village stayed with the bishopric throughout the Middle Ages and the early modern period and only became independent for a short time in the 19th century in the course of secularization . Later the village became part of the Hilpertshausen community. Together with the neighboring village, the place then came on January 1, 1972 to the enlarged community of Unterpleichfeld.

Attractions

The center of the village is the Catholic branch church St. Nikolaus. The church was built in 1675 and changed in 1867. The church is presented as a small hall with a retracted choir. On the east side a roof turret with a pointed helmet was attached. Furthermore, many wayside shrines can be found in the corridor of the village. Two late medieval atonement crosses on the district road are a specialty.
