Lorenz Georg Bauer (born October 16, 1880 in Unterpleichfeld near Würzburg , † November 1, 1969 there ) was a German Catholic theologian and university professor .

Family and education

Lorenz Bauer, the son of the farmer Johann Baptist Bauer and his wife Dorothea Theresia nee Sauer, attended the Royal Bavarian Latin School in Miltenberg , then the humanistic Wirsberg Gymnasium in Würzburg, before studying theology and philosophy from 1903 to 1907 at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , where he is a member of the Catholic student association WKSt.V. Lorenz Bauer died in 1969 at the age of 89 in his home town of Unterpleichfeld.

Professional career
