Alliance Waldsassengau
The Allianz Waldsassengau in Würzburger Westen eV is an association of thirteen communities west of Würzburg , which was created to promote the development of the region . It is named after the medieval Gau Waldsassengau , with which the area was formerly known. The chairman is Mayor Hans Fiederling from Waldbrunn .
The association is one of twelve state-recognized eco-model regions in Bavaria that were awarded as part of the state program BioRegio Bavaria 2020 of the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests . The award took place on May 18, 2015.
The founding event took place on November 20, 2014. More than 250 ideas for the development of the region were then collected together, which were then combined into 50 packages of measures, which in their entirety represent the integrated rural development concept (ILEK) for the region. The development concept was presented on February 6, 2014 at a public event.
