Fritz René Allemann

Fritz René Allemann (born March 12, 1910 in Basel ; † October 29, 1996 in Kleinrinderfeld ) was a Swiss journalist and author.

Life

He was born as the son of factory director Joseph Allemann on March 12, 1910 in Basel. After attending the mathematics and natural science high school, he studied history, economics and sociology at the University of Basel . He was then enrolled from 1930 to 1932 at the German School of Politics in Berlin as a student with Albert Salomon and Sigmund Neumann. He decided not to graduate because he had the opportunity to spend two years in South America; from 1934 to 1936 he lived in Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile.

FR Allemann began his journalistic activity at the same time as he was enrolled at the University of Basel (working student) and worked as a local reporter and employee of the feature pages of the National-Zeitung Basel. After his return from South America he was promoted to deputy of the features editor, took over the film editing independently and was at the same time an employee in the foreign section.

In 1969 FR Allemann moved to Kleinrinderfeld in Lower Franconia . He ended his journalistic activities in 1994. He died on October 29, 1996 at his place of residence.
